Volunteers are needed to help at the LGBTQ Booth at the New York State Fair (8/21 to 9/2) and for Pride Day, Friday August 23. This is a great chance to support the LGBTQ community, meet new people and enjoy the New York State Fair!
For 2024 the schedule at the Booth begins on Wednesday August 21 and runs every day to Monday September 2. The Booth is open from 10 am to 10 pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and 10 am to 9 pm on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
In addition to the shifts at the Booth, we need volunteers to help with the move from our storage area to the Fair on Wednesday August 14, setup of storage and the Booth on Sunday August 18th from 12 noon to 4 pm, final setup of the booth on Tuesday August 20 from 12 noon to 4 pm, and break down of the booth and move back to storage on Tuesday September 3 from 10 am to 1 pm.
We also need volunteers for the Pride Day Resource Fair, Friday August 23, for set up from 8 am to 10 am, and for shifts at the FAIRNY table from 10 am to 12 noon, 12 noon to 2 pm, 2 pm to 4 pm, 4 pm to 6 pm pm, and breakdown at 7 pm. The schedule of shifts follows.
