LGBTQ+ BOOTH, NYS FAIR

LGBTQ+ PRIDE DAY, NYS FAIR 

Volunteers are needed to help at the LGBTQ+ Booth at the 2026 New York State Fair (8/26 to 9/7) and for Pride Day, Friday August 28.  This is a great chance to support the LGBTQ community, meet new people and enjoy the New York State Fair! 

For 2026 the schedule at the Booth begins on Wednesday August 26 and runs every day to Monday September 7. The Booth is open from 10 am to 10 pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and 10 am to 9 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

In addition to the shifts at the Booth, we need volunteers to help with the move from our storage area to the Fair on Tuesday, August 18, setup of storage and the Booth on Sunday August 23th from 12 noon to 4 pm, final setup of the booth on Tuesday August 25 from 12 noon to 4 pm, and break down of the booth and move back to storage on Tuesday September 8 from 10 am to 1 pm.

We also need volunteers for the Pride Day Resource Fair, Friday August 28, for set up from 10 am to 11 am, and for shifts from 11 am to 1 pm, 1 pm to 3 pm and breakdown from 5 pm to 6 pm. The LGBTQ+ Pride Booth and Pride Day are only possible with the support of the many people who volunteer.  Our volunteers distribute literature on bullying, services for LGBTQ+ youth, families and seniors, health care issues for the LGBTQ+ community, support for transgender/gender nonconforming, nonbinary individuals, welcoming faith communities and many other issues. 

Each year we observe Pride Day, Faith Days, Senior Day, Ally Day, Family Day, Health Day, Student Day, Trans/GNC/NB Day and Equality Day.
